Hog Scald Liquid reduces the need for shaving, scraping and singeing. A clean hog carcass depends to some extent on how effective the additive that is used in the scale tank water. Water temperature and the retention time are also critical. Water temperature alone is not capable of the most efficient hair removal. Penetrating the scurf and wetting the skin so the hair follicles open and release the hairs easily depends on the scald additive.
